Media Releases
A key element of the project will be to solicit comments from the public and to incorporate these perspectives into the planning process. The primary elements of the public involvement program include:

- Strategically-timed news releases for
local media outlets
- Open houses (summaries of the open houses will be provided on this webpage)

October 18, 2011 Public Meeting
A fifth Public Meeting will be held Tuesday, October 18th as part of the Owatonna North-East Beltline and US-14 Connection Planning Study.
July 26, 2011 County Board Meeting
A County Board Meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. at the Steele County Administrative Building. At this meeting, the Board selected a preferred concept (A1) for the roadway system though Havana. This concept best addresses Steele County’s Access Spacing Guidelines, which call for 1/2 mile spacing between full access intersections for rural minor arterial roadways (I.e., CSAH 43) and the elimination/minimization of private drives to improve travel safety by reducing conflict points.
May 12, 2011 Public Meeting Summary
The third informational meeting was held on May 12 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Steele County Administrative Building.
September 21, 2010 Public Meeting Summary
The second informational meeting was held on September 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Steele County Administrative Building.
April 29, 2010 Open House Summary
The first open house was held on April 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Steele County Administrative Building located at 630 Florence Avenue.
